Richard L. "Dick" Stafford

Richard L. “Dick”, 84, of Hanover, PA, and formerly of Berlin, MD, entered God’s eternal care, Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at WellSpan York Hospital, York, PA. 

Born on October 15, 1938, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John O. and Betty L. (Sheridan) Stafford.  Dick was the loving husband of Victoria A. (Devener) Stafford. 

Dick was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church, Berlin, MD.  He was a member of AA for 41 years.  

Dick was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army.  He worked as a sheet rock contractor for the Maryland Local for many years until his retirement.

Dick enjoyed antiquing and refinishing them, working out, motorcycles, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife, Victoria, Dick is survived by his children, William R. Stafford and wife Melissa, and Sandra M. Gross and husband Brian;  his step children, Teri M. Rebert and husband Wesley, and Daniel R. Gladhill and wife Stephanie; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Henschen. 

A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, with Chaplain Jack Biondo officiating.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM, Friday, December 9, 2022 at the funeral home.  The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail will provide Military Honors.
