Rick A. Forry

Rick A. Forry, 61, of Hanover, PA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 12, 2024.

Born March 15, 1963, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Malvadean (Knott) Forry. Rick was the loving husband of Beth A. (Fulco) Forry with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.

Rick was a 1981 graduate of Hanover High School.  He attended Penn State University and graduated from Baltimore Culinary Arts Institute.

Rick currently worked in Food Sales for Sysco Foods of Central PA, prior to that Feeser’s Food, The Altland House, and The Mark Steven’s.

Rick was a current member of the McSherrystown Moose and the New Oxford Social Club.  Previously, he was a member of the Central Maryland Chefs and Cooks Association. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife Beth, Rick is survived by his son Jesse Forry and his wife Stephanie. His daughter Abigail Forry Cross, his grandchildren, Oakley, Ryder, and Talon Cross, and his sister, Robin Forry Caler and her husband Andrew Caler and his nephew Adam Caler.

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Rick will be held 11 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at St. David’s United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, PA with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  The Family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11 AM, Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the church, and also  following the service at a reception at the Hilker Family Farm,  556 Chestnut Hill Road, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be private and in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rick’s name to the Eichelberger Performing Arts Center, 195 Stock Street, Suite 203, Hanover, PA 17331.
