Ricky A. Rife

Ricky A. Rife, 55, entered God’s eternal care, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Hershey Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 16, 1968, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Patricia (Shrader) Rife.  Ricky was the loving husband of Angela S. (Behney) Rife with whom he shared 34 years of marriage.

Ricky was a 1986 graduate of New Oxford High School and received his Associates Degree in Applied Computer Science from Penn Foster College.  He worked as a digital print operator for Sheridan press for over 15 years.

Ricky received his certification in Bookkeeping and launched his own company, Sunset Ledger. 

Ricky was a member of Life Discovery Church, McSherrystown, PA.

Ricky loved to write and was a published author.  He enjoyed hiking to waterfalls and mountain vistas and photographing nature.  He loved football and was a lifelong Steelers fan.  Most importantly, he loved his family and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Angela, Ricky is survived by his daughters, Chrissa R. Bush and companion Fred Herbst, Alisa N. Rife, and Kara J. Rife, three grandchildren, Jayden M. Bush, Jett W. Bucher, and Kade A. Bucher, and four brothers, Michael Rife and wife Stacey, Timothy Rife and wife Diane, John Rife and wife Ann and Leroy Rife.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jocelyn M. Rife.

A funeral service to remember and celebrate Ricky’s life will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover PA, with the Rev. Gerry Stoltzfoos officiating.  Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, York Springs, PA.  A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Monday, May 13, 2024, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
