Robert L. Malehorn, Sr., 84, of New Oxford, PA, entered God's eternal care, Sunday, June 4, 2023, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.
Born April 28, 1939, in Nashville, PA, he was the son of the late Lewis E. and Mary E. (Miller) Malehorn. Robert was the loving husband of Sylvia F. (Bange) Malehorn with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.
Robert was a machinist with Hanover Wire Cloth for forty-five years until his retirement.
Robert was a member of Hanover Believers in Christ, Hanover, PA, and served as janitor at the church.
Robert enjoyed mowing, shoveling snow, and watching Western movies.
In addition to his loving wife Sylvia, Robert is survived by his children, Carolyn Emenheiser and husband James of Hanover, PA, Judy Wilson and husband Brett of Cypress, TX, Robert Malehorn, Jr. and wife Katie of New Hampton, PA, and Shawn Malehorn and wife April of Hanover, PA; twelve grandchildren, Becky (Ben), Sarah (John), Courtney, Lucas, Piper, Cole, Payton, Emily, Chloe, Lily, Sydney, and Bentley; one great grandson, Oliver. He also leaves behind his siblings, Jean Dell of Hanover, PA, and Annamay Almen of New Oxford, PA. Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth Thoman, Janet Livingston, David Malehorn, and Audrey Link.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Robert’s life will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Hanover Believers in Christ Church, 301 Maple Avenue, Hanover, PA, 17331, with the Rev. Brian Casale officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11 AM, Thursday, June 8, 2023, also at the church.
