Robert D. Yohe

Robert D. Yohe, 87, of Spring Grove, entered God’s eternal care, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the UPMC Hanover Hospital. 

Born June 24, 1936, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Emory A. and Genevieve (Hoffman) Yohe.  Robert was the loving husband of JoAnn L. (Meckley) Yohe with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

Robert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spring Grove, Pa as well as the Knights of Columbus.  He retired after 30 years of Service from ESAB in Hanover.

Robert was a carpenter and built both of his homes.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, fishing and loved his many pets over the years.

In addition to his loving wife JoAnn, Robert is survived by three children, Wendy M. Harbaugh of Spring Grove, PA, Travis M. Yohe of Spring Grove, PA, and Tanya A. Yohe of York, PA, three grandchildren, Madison Harbaugh, Adam Harbaugh, and Trevor Yohe.   He was preceded in death by one son, Brian J. Yohe, his siblings, Emory Yohe, JoeSeph Yohe, Ernest Yohe, Mark Yohe, Pauline Knupp, Jen Oaster, Phyllis Wolford, and Evonne Yohe.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Robert’s life will be held 11 AM, Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Deacon Tom Ballinger officiating.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the funeral home.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Paul’s Dubs Church Cemetery.
