Robert J. Schuchart, 91, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Tree of Life Nursing Center.

Born May 29, 1935, in Hanover, PA he was the son of the late Jerome J. and Catherine L. (Dickensheets) Schuchart.  Robert was the loving husband of Lyrian F. (Cornbower) Schuchart with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on June 30, 2026.

Robert was a member of Bethlehem Church, Codorus, PA, the McSherrystown Moose and the New Oxford Social Club.

Robert served his country proudly in the Army National Guard for 6 years.  He worked at ESAB as a machine operator for over 40 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife Lyrian, Robert is survived by his children, Paula Jones and husband Rocky, Robin Hertz, Brian Schuchart and wife Bonnie, and Jeff Schuchart and wife Barb, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and one sister, Joan Messinger.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Daniel and Janet Thoman, a son-in-law Joseph Hertz.

A service to celebrate and remember Robert’s life will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Bethlehem Church, 47 Hanover Street, Codorus, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. Jean Ward officiating.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA, with the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail providing Military Honors. A visitation will be held from 10 – 11 AM Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the church.
