Robert L. Wilson

Robert L. Wilson, 77, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s Eternal care on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born January 12, 1948, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Leroy Heltebridle and Myrtle L. Wilson.  Bob was the loving husband of Carol P. (Elicker) Wilson.  They were together for 48 years.

Bob attended South Western High School, Hanover, PA.  He worked as a Supervisor at SKF for 27 years and then Integra for 14 years until his retirement in 2011.

Bob was a member of the Hanover Home Association and the McSherrystown Home Association.

Bob liked the classic muscle cars of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.  He enjoyed doing the mechanical work on cars and other machines.

In addition to his loving wife, Carol, Bob is survived by his children, Cathy Klein of Hanover, PA, Stacey Hagerman of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Rhonda Mummert of Hanover, PA, Tosha Dodd of New Oxford, PA, and Brian Merriken of Hanover, PA, 3 grandchildren, Michael Dodd, Jr., Madison Dodd, and Brittaney Colebank, one great grandson, Porter Colebank, and one sister, Janet Basehoar.

Following cremation, a service to celebrate and remember Bob’s life will be held 11 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Steve Ostendorf officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the funeral home. The family requests that those in attendance at the visitation and funeral dress casually.
