Ruth Anne Hallman

Ruth Anne Hallman, 83, of Hanover, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the UPMC Hanover Hospital.

Born January 11, 1943, in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late William W. Sr.  and Evelyn L. (Heyser) Roshong.  Ruth Anne was the loving wife of the late L. Robert Hallman.

Ruth Anne was a 1960 graduate of Norristown High School and received her B.A. in English from Ursinus College in 1964.

Ruth Anne was a member of York County Quilt Guild.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting, sewing, baking and especially loved cooking for family on holidays and special occasions.

Ruth Anne is survived by her children, Heath R. Hallman and wife Margaret of Hanover, PA, Dana H. Van Slyke and husband James of Hawley, PA, 4 grandchildren, Heather Hallman-Stetter, Catherine Hallman, Conor Van Slyke, and Ethan Van Slyke, three great grandchildren, Henry, Jamie, and Penelope, and one brother, William W. Roshong, Jr. and wife Ginger.

Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Lower Providence Presbyterian Cemetery, Norristown, PA.
