Sandra R. Meyers

Sandra R. (Golby) Meyers, 63, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, March 16, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with her husband by her side.

Born April 2, 1960, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late James R. and Dorothy L. (Thompson) Golby.  Sandra was the loving wife of William E. Meyers, Sr., with whom she shared forty-five years of marriage.

Sandy was a 1978 graduate of Richland High School, Johnstown, PA.  She retired from Snyder’s of Hanover with over 20+ years of service as a secretary in the Human Resource Department.

Sandy was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA.  She enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and camping.

In addition to her loving husband, Bill, Sandy is survived by her sons, William E. Meyers, Jr. and wife Nicole, of Burlington, NC,  and three grandchildren, Arlo R. Meyers, Caleb D. Dinderski, and Ryker W. Cich all of Burlington, NC., and Adam M. Meyers and girlfriend, Samantha Brown of Juneau, AK., and two sisters, Brenda Ivanac of Hermanie, PA and Kim Lawn of Johnstown, PA. 

She was preceded in death by her father James R. Golby, her mother Dorothy L. Golby and her brother, Ronald Golby.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Sandy will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W. Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Dr. Kathy Vitalis Hoffman officiating.  A visitation will be held from 1 – 3 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the church.  Burial will be in Richland Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made in Sandy’s memory to the National Autism Association, 310 Maple Avenue, Suite E1, Barrington, RI 02806.
