Sandra L. Brown

Sandra L. Brown, 77, of Hanover, PA entered into God’s eternal care on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 1, 1947, in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Rodgers) Chiesa.  Sandra was the loving wife of Stephen G. Brown with whom she shared 49 years of marriage.

Sandra was a 1965 graduate of Utica High School. Utica, MI.  She was a self-employed day-care provider for 40 years until her retirement in 2008.

Sandra loved singing and was an accomplished soprano, with a love of music shining throughout her entire life, she enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Stephen, Sandra is survived by her children, Jonathan Brown and wife Lisa Brown of McSherrystown, PA, Heather Brown and husband Michael Reifel of Hanover, PA, five grandchildren, Alexandria, Christopher, Geoffrey, Aubree, and Cameron, six great grandchildren, Ryker, Desi, J.J., Collin, Runa, and Juniper,  a sister, Rhonda Ramirez of Chesterfield, MI, a brother Russell Wilson of St. Louis, MO, two nieces, Glenn Ellen Thomas of Bay City, MI, Serene Hunt of Bay City, MI, and three nephews,  Russell Wilson, Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Aaron Ramirez of New Baltimore, MI and Christian Ramirez of Pointe Farms, MI.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Johnson and Donna Lou Wilson.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Sandra’s life will be held 11 AM, Monday, March 3, 2025, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  Entombment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 -11 AM, Monday, March 3, 2025, at the funeral home.
