Shirley A. Corcoran

Shirley A. Corcoran, 88, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, November 8, 2024, at UPMC Hanover Hospital, with her loving family by her side. 

Born June 23, 1936, in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Estelle (Myers) Lucabaugh.  Shirley was the loving wife of the late Gerald E. Corcoran with whom she shared thirty-one years of marriage until his passing on November 23, 1987.

Shirley was a 1954 graduate of Spring Grove High School, Spring Grove, PA.  She worked in the cash office at Colonial Fair for ten years, and as a receptionist for Office Product Services for thirty years.

Shirley was a member of the Hanover Elks Ladies’ Auxiliary.

Shirley enjoyed cooking and baking, loved puppies, and spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Wanda L. Corcoran of Hanover, PA, and Cathy A. Sentz of Hanover, PA; her grandchildren, Meghan Dell, Kayla Sentz and Kyle Sentz; four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son, Scott P. Corcoran who died July 1, 2019, and three siblings, Russell Lucabaugh, Evelyn Jacobs, and Charles Lucabaugh.

A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10:00-11:00AM, Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  A funeral service to celebrate and remember Shirley will be held 11:00AM, Friday, November 15, 2024, at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Hanover, PA. 

Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
