Shirley Mae Cruys

Shirley Mae Cruys, 74, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Friday, October 17, 2025, at home, with her loving family by her side.

Born July 16, 1951, in Hershey, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester R. and Marian I. (Davies) Cooper.  Shirley was the loving wife of Ronald H. Cruys, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Shirley was a member of Grace Church of Hanover, where she was an active volunteer with the PAL Lunch Program.

Shirley was a 1969 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School, Hummelstown, PA, and attended Harrisburg Area Community College, and York College of PA.  She retired from iCepts Technology Group, Inc. in 2018 with twenty-six years of service.

Shirley enjoyed lounging by the pool, gathering with her Bible Study group at the Olive Branch, and especially loved spending time with her granddaughter and close friends.

In addition to her loving husband Ronald, Shirley is survived by two children, Chad R. Cruys of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Jeremy S. Cruys of Hanover, PA; a granddaughter, Amelia Cruys of Hanover, PA; a sister, Wendy Kauffman of Bainbridge, PA; and a brother, Craig Cooper of Middletown, PA.

Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held 11AM, Friday, October 24, 2025, at Grace Church of Hanover, 55 Albright Drive, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Todd Christine officiating.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.  A visitation to share memories with the family will be held from 10-11AM, Friday, October 24, 2025, at the church.
