Shirley Nicolazzo Obituary

Shirley Jean Nicolazzo born October 29, 1950, entered God's eternal care on Sunday, April 30, 2023.. She was preceded in death by both her parents who she had so much love for, her brother David Freshwater Sr, sister Deborah Ann Harmon, both of her loves of her life David Crowl Sr(in which she quit smoking after 30+ years cold turkey when he passed away) and Ronald Dieter and most importantly her beloved precious daughter Virginia Nicolazzo Hatchard.

She is survived by her amazing sister Judith Rowland and her husband Ricci, her best friend of 40+ years Mary Callahan who all have been the most supportive of Shirley throughout the years. She is survived by her children, her son Franklin (Jennifer) Nicolazzo, Tammy (Micah) Walters and Ricci Nicolazzo. She has 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Shirley was an out of this world cook and if she had 6 items she could whip up an amazing dinner it didn’t matter it would turn out amazing , an artist she could draw and had so much talent I know many of us encouraged her to enter into drawing contest, but she never felt she was good enough, we couldn’t convince her how good she was. She had so many other talents as she would crochet a blanket in no time the moment, she heard she was having another grandchild or great child. She even crocheted a blanket for her new arrival of her grandson Oscar who was her pet skunk grandchild, which regardless of her condition she always asked how Oscar was doing. Gratefully, due to other unforeseen circumstances Shirley was not made away that Oscar recently passed away. Shirley loved nothing more than to have family gatherings and to spend time with her family, she loved playing card games although she was very competitive and got mouthy it was always a good time, she loved playing bingo and tended to crack others up with her little rhymes some not appropriate she would start saying when her numbers weren't being called. She always made others laugh with her witty remarks regardless of how she was truly feeling inside. Shirley was the queen of tough love, had a huge heart cared and helped so many throughout her life. Shirley had a tough exterior from life experiences, but she would crack when another would need her for anything. She enjoyed coloring, word seek puzzles, watching wrastling(wrestling) Shirley had her own vocabulary, fishing, dancing and music especially Elvis Presley and listening to her daughter Virginia sing, but Shirley had a very good singing voice as well.
