Sue A. Arthur

Sue A. Arthur, 78, of New Oxford, PA, entered God's eternal care Saturday, November 29, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side. 

Born July 22, 1947, in Thurmont, MD, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Mary V. (Miller) Lemmon. She was the loving wife of Barry L. Arthur, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. 

Sue was a 1965 graduate of Eichelberger High School, Hanover, PA.  She retired from Hanover Foods in 2009.

As a young girl, Sue was involved with Girl Scouts and collected countless patches for her sash. She enjoyed watching movies, specifically her favorite musicals: Mamma Mia!, Dirty Dancing, and Sister Act. She could recite the songs word for word. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family. She would play card games or Yahtzee with her grandchildren. She, especially, enjoyed watching them play video games. Sue loved her stuffed sock monkeys, which were gifted to her by her grandchildren. Her sock monkeys never left her side. She was a collector of Santas and would watch Charles Dickens Christmas Carol any time of the year. She was a foodie, who enjoyed Chinese and Tropical Treat. She also loved snuggling her cat, “Lilly”.

In addition to her loving husband, Barry, Sue is survived by her daughter, Mandy Six of New Oxford, PA; and three grandchildren, David Six, Jr., Madison Six, and Tyler Six. 

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Graceham Moravian Cemetery, Thurmont, MD.
