Sylvia A. Luckenbaugh

Sylvia Anna Luckenbaugh, age 84, of Gettysburg passed away on January 22, 2026 at Quincy Village Nursing Home in Waynesboro, PA.  Born April 18, 1941 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of Cloyd and Sophia Hill.  In her younger years Sylvia worked at A&P Grocery store, after her children were born she started her own cleaning business and in her later years she worked at the Gettysburg College.  She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Bonneauville. Sylvia was the beloved wife of Robert M. Luckenbaugh.  She is survived by her children, Anita Morgan (David), Andrew Strausbaugh, Patrick Luckenbaugh (Sandee), Robert Luckenbaugh, Jr. (Allison), Mark Luckenbaugh, David Luckenbaugh (Eva) & Annette Sumpman; her granddaughters Tasha Grafton, Hannah Luckenbaugh, Kensley Luckenbaugh, Bernadette DeForest & her sisters Sandra Snyder (Bill), Evelyn Mickley (Kevin), Mary Codori (Mike), Sonya Colista (Frank) and numerous great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her daughter Judy Elburn, her brother Joseph Hill & her first husband Andrew Strausbaugh.  Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Cemetery, Gettysburg, PA.   The Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Gettysburg is in charge of arrangements.
