Terry R. Becker, 79, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Friday, August 16, 2024, at home with his loving family by his side.
Born on January 10, 1945, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Pius G. and Mary H. (Rang) Becker. Terry was the loving husband of Joyce A. (Klein) Becker with whom he shared 50 years of marriage with a family celebration last fall.
Terry was a graduate of Spring Grove High School, Spring Grove, PA. He was an environmental technician for P.H. Glatfelter for thirty-seven years.
Terry was a veteran of The United States Air Force having served his country proudly from June 1962 to December 1966 . He was a member of the VFW Post 2506, Hanover, PA.
Terry enjoyed country line dancing and going on cruises with his wife Joyce, and loved spending time with friends and family, and his puppy Angel.
In addition to his loving wife, Joyce, Terry is survived by three children, Lisa Gundrum and her husband Frank of KY, Andrew Sipling and his wife Irene, of Hanover, PA, and Gloria Reeves and her husband Joe of Spring Grove, PA; 21 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Phyllis Jean Strausbaugh and George Becker; and a daughter-in-law, Angie Sipling. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Sipling, who died from ALS in 2019; and grandson, Daniel Gundrum.
Following cremation, a graveside service to celebrate and remember Terry will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, September 16, 2024, at Rest Haven Cemetery, corner of Boundary and Westminster Avenues, Hanover, PA. The Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard Burial Detail will provide Military Honors. Following the graveside service, everyone is welcome to join the family at the Utz Pavilion for refreshments.
