Thomas A. Kessler

Thomas A. Kessler, 76, of Hanover, PA, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born June 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Ernest G. and Pauline A. (Garrett) Kessler.  He was the husband of the late Jane (Rudisill) Kessler.

Tom graduated in 1962 from Hanover (Eichelberger) High School and in 1965 from the Penn State Turfgrass Management Course.  His entire life was in golf course maintenance starting with South Hills Golf Club, Hanover, PA and ending his career at Flatbush Golf Course, Littlestown, PA.

Tom is survived by his daughter Jennifer and son-in-law Steve Lane; two grandchildren, Makenzie and Joshua, and two step-grandchildren, Megan and Matthew.  He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Grove, Ernest, Jr., and Dwight.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Marsh.

Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 10:00am – 12:00pm, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to New Hope Ministries, P.O. Box 448, Dillsburg, PA 17019 or Willowdale Chapel High School Girl’s Mission Trip, 111 Vineyard Way, West Grove, PA 19390.
