Thomas E. “Speedy” Snyder, 64, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Hershey Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Born May 24, 1957, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Kenneth E. & Alice (Rosier) Snyder.
Speedy was a 1976 graduate of Hereford High School, in Parkton, MD. He worked as a truck driver for almost 50 years since the age of 16.
Speedy was an automobile enthusiast. He also enjoyed dancing, working and spending his free time with his loving family.
Thomas is survived by his two children, Melanie L. Snyder and Daulton G. Snyder, both of New Oxford, PA, a granddaughter, Sylvia L. Heron, and his loving companion, Janette Plummer. Speedy is also survived by his siblings, Saundra L. Kincaid, Robert E. Snyder, Richard N. Snyder, Kenneth W. Snyder, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Speedy’s life will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA 17331, with Reverend John Lowry officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Viewings and times to share memories will be held 6-8PM, Friday, July 30, 2021, and 9-10 AM, Saturday, July 31, 2021, at the funeral home.
