Thomas E.. McPherson, 73, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care on January 30, 2026, SpiriTrust Lutheran at Utz Terrace, Hanover, PA, with his loving family by his side.
Born November 24, 1952, in Gaithersburg, MD, he was the son of the late Calvin and Betty (Kalef) McPherson. He was the loving husband of Colleen J. (Kraus) McPherson with whom he shared 27 years of marriage.
Tom was a 1970 graduate of Gaithersburg High School, where he then entered the United States Marine Corp (USMC) and proudly served our country, and attended Chaminade College. He was the owner and operator of Boulevard and Beyond in Westminster, MD for 13 years.
Tom was a member of the NRA, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, and the Westminster Rotary Club. He enjoyed tinkering with his boat, fishing & hunting, being a ‘Mr. Fixit’ guy, and spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his loving wife, Colleen, Tom is survived by his children, Michelle McPherson, Sarah Pierce and husband Cliff, Thomas James ‘TJ’ McPherson and wife Mallory, Holly Shipley and husband Jeff, and Stacey Vehstedt and husband Troy; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and his younger brother, Richard McPherson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary McPherson; and his son-in-law, Duane Fuller.
A service to celebrate and remember Tom will be held at 8 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Dr. John Baldwin of Southern Calvert Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Garrison Forest Veteran’s Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD. Visitations will be from 2-4 PM and from 6-8 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the funeral home.
