Timothy "Sam" Fishel Obituary

Timothy Edward “Sam” Fishel, 60, of Abbottstown, PA, died Thursday, May 26, 2022, at home.

Born January 9, 1962, in Spring Grove, PA, he was the son of Morris L. & Charlotte M. (Cramer) Fishel. 

Sam was a graduate of York VoTech class of 1980, with a certificate in welding. He later worked for many years at the Glatfelter Paper Mill in Spring Grove, PA.  

Sam enjoyed gardening, splitting wood, and helping his neighbors when he could.

In addition to his parents, Morris & Charlotte, Sam is survived by his two sons, Kenneth E. Fishel & wife Amanda of Waynesboro, PA and Daniel F. Fishel & wife Melinda of New Oxford, PA, and 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Fishel, Makenzie Fishel, Olivia Fishel & Barrett Fishel.  He also leaves behind 2 brothers, Steve Fishel of Abbottstown, PA and Fred Fishel of Spring Grove, PA. Timothy was preceded in death by his brother Randy Fishel and 2 sisters, Kim Shultz and Vickie Creamer.

A memorial service to celebrate and remember Sam's life will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, 3444 Sticks Road, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
