Veda J. "Beep" Strickhouser

Veda J. “Beep” Strickhouser, 75, of Littlestown, PA entered God’s eternal care on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital with her loving family by her side.

Born October 9, 1950, in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russell H. and Marie M. (Breighner) Dresher.  Beep was the loving wife of Dennis G. Strickhouser with whom she shared forty years of marriage. 

Beep was a 1968 graduate of Hanover High School.  She worked for Cintas for several years.

Beep was a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital, she loved reading, crosswords and word-finds, watching Jeopardy, and spending time with her family.   

In addition to her loving husband Dennis, she is survived by her sons, Scott A. Blouse of Hanover, PA, and Cory M. Strickhouser and wife Heather of Hanover, PA; 2 step-grandchildren, Benjamin Heldibridle and Madisyn Critser; and four siblings, Jim A. Dresher of Norton, OH, Sandra A. Colehouse and husband Richard of Hanover, PA, Tammy S. Neiderer and husband Jerry of Abbottstown, PA, and John F. Dresher and wife Victoria of Hanover, PA.     

A service to celebrate and remember Beep will be held 10AM, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA.  A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the funeral home.       

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beep’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
