Virginia M. Cox, 97, of Gettysburg, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Transitions Nursing Center.
Born September 17, 1927 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Minnie P. (Smith) Anzengruber. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Bernard P. Cox, Jr. who died February 4, 1972.
Virginia was a 1945 graduate of Gettysburg High School. She worked for many years as a sales clerk at the G.C. Murphy Company until her retirement in 1995.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Lucinda M. Chrismer of Gettysburg, Pa, three grandchildren, Lori A. Chrismer, Seth Chrismer, and Adam Chrismer, six great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Fred Anzengruber, Clarence Anzengruber, and John Anzengruber, Jr.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Virginia will be buried next to her husband Bernard in Gettysburg National Cemetery.
