Walter Reuben Bossom

Walter Rueben Bossom, 77 of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at York South Nursing and Rehab Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 12, 1947, in Hanover, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Flickinger) Bossom.  He was the loving husband of the late Rosalie M. (Zepp) Bossom with whom he shared 42  years of marriage until her passing on November 19, 2007.

Walter attended South Western High School.  He retired from Homewood at Plum Creek Retirement Community after many years of service in the maintenance/custodial department.

Walter was a member of the Hanover Eagle Fire Company.  He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time with his family.

Walter is survived by his children, Brian Bossom and wife Kelly, Pam Strausbaugh and husband Craig, Troy Bossom and partner Theresa, and Laura Gilland, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence Bossom, Steven Bossom, and Robert Bossom, and three sisters, Mary Laughman, Sylvia Sneed, and Barbara Bachman.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA.
