Wayne Alan Snyder, age 59, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at UPMC Hanover Hospital with his loving family by his side.
Born in Porter's Sidling on March 6, 1963, Wayne was the son of the late Lewis and Velma (Rohrbaugh) Snyder. He was the loving husband of Lisa A. (Feather) Snyder with whom he shared 12 years of marriage.
Wayne was a 1981 graduate of Spring Grove Area Senior High School. He worked at Leister’s Furniture, and then R.H. Shepherd.
Wayne was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanover, PA. He was a life member of the Porter’s Fire Company and served with the fire police for many years, and was a member of A.A.R.P.
Wayne was an avid NASCAR fan, Green Bay Packers fan, and enjoyed hunting.
In addition to his loving wife Lisa, Wayne is survived by his children, Jonathan L. Snyder of High Point, NC, Brittany A. DeGroft and Courtney N. Shafer, both of Hanover, PA; five grandchildren, Logan DeGroft, Connor DeGroft, Adalynn DeGroft, Layla DeGroft, and Niveah Medina; a sister, Diane Conley of Hanover, PA; and a brother, Daniel Snyder of Hanover, PA. Wayne was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred LeGore and Marie Snyder; and two brothers, Nevin Snyder and Mark Snyder.
A funeral service in celebration of Wayne's life will be held 11AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Dr. B. Michael Brossman officiating. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover, PA. Viewings and times to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, and from 10-11AM, Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the funeral home.
