William C. “Bill” Seibert, 96, of New Oxford, PA, entered God’s eternal care on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Brethren Home Nursing Center.
Born June 30, 1928 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Alton W. Sr. and Mary E. (Wright) Seibert. William was the loving husband of the late Dolly A. (Wolfe) Seibert with whom he shared 61 years of marriage until her passing on May 26, 2017.
Bill was 1946 graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, PA. He worked as a Senior Technical Writer for Allis-Chalmers and Precision Components for 34 years until his retirement in 1990.
Bill served his country proudly in the Air National Guard as a Sr. Master Sergeant from 1948 to 1979. He was a member of the Music Box Society and the National Carousel Association.
Bill loved carousels, antique music boxes, player pianos, band organs and other musical devices. He was an accomplished woodworker, mechanic and could fix or build anything. He built his own band organ from his own design.
Bill will be remembered for his humor, wit, kindness, love of family, and his many stories.
Bill is survived by his children, Debra Waltman of New Oxford, PA, Sandra Burke of Wellington, FL, Janet Rosenberger of Fleetwood, PA, and Michael Seibert of Carlisle, PA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his siblings, Kenneth Seibert, Paul Seibert, Shirley Hackenburg, and Carolyn Madaria . He was preceded in death by five siblings.
A funeral service to celebrate and remember Bill will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, PA, with the York County Honor Guard providing Military Honors. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2025 at the funeral home.
