Winifred M. Bosley

Winifred M. Bosley, 83, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Monday, October 25, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.

Winifred was born in Gettysburg, PA, on September 9, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Phillip and Ella (Wood) Redding. She was the loving wife of Kenneth B. Bosley with whom she shared sixty-three years of marriage, and was the biggest supporter and cheerleader for her Family. 

Winifred was a 1956 graduate of Littlestown High School, Littlestown, PA. She owned her business, Winnie’s Beauty Shop, helping people and doing what she loved best. Winifred was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. She was a former member of the Hanover BPOE Elks Lodge and the Gettysburg Moose. 

Winifred loved supporting her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her trips to the beach, playing checkers with her grandchildren meant everything to her. She was a private person that lived her life on her own terms to the end. SHE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE AN AMAZING BEAUTIFUL LADY IN the truest sense. 

In addition to her loving husband Kenneth who so adored her, Winnie was everything to him. Winifred is survived by her son, Michael K. Bosley of Arlington/Alexandria, VA; one granddaughter of Hanover, PA; three great-grandchildren all of Hanover. She was preceded in death by her 6 brothers and sisters, and her daughter, Rose M. Bosley whom she loved so much. The support for her was like no other. She was the most steadfast Mother you will find. We all loved her so much.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Winifred will be held at 11 AM, Monday, November 1, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 York Street, Hanover, PA with the Rev. E. Robert Burkhart and the Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Viewings and times to share memories with the family will be held from 6-8 PM, Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, and from 10-11 AM, Monday, November 1, 2021, at the church.
